Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

The Americans with Disabilities Act protects individuals from discrimination on the basis of disability in the services, programs, and facilities at Midland International Air & Space Port. The airport is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of, its services on the basis of disability, consistent with the airport's nondiscrimination policy.

ADA Complaints

The airport has established a complaint procedure for anyone who believes they have been discriminated against on the basis of disability. Complaints must be submitted within 90 calendar days of the alleged incident. A separate complaint must be filed for each distinct act of discrimination.

How to File

Complaints should be submitted in writing to the ADA Coordinator. Complaints made by telephone must be followed up in writing. If you are unable to file a written complaint because of a disability, the airport will provide reasonable accommodations to assist you. Language assistance is available for individuals with limited English proficiency.

What Happens Next

Once a complaint is received, the ADA Coordinator will:

  • Record the complaint and maintain it in the complaint log
  • Conduct an initial review to confirm the complaint is complete and within the airport's jurisdiction
  • Conduct a preliminary review of the allegations
  • Attempt to resolve the complaint

The complaint log records the filing date, a summary of the allegations, the status of the complaint, and actions taken in response. Complaint records are kept confidential to the extent allowed by applicable law.
